How to change the volume of a video
Upload a video, drag the Volume slider and download the result. At 0% the sound is muted completely, 100% keeps the original level and the slider goes up to 300% to boost a quiet clip. It works with common video formats, up to about 200 MB depending on your device memory.
When do you need it? A video recorded far from the microphone often comes out too quiet, while a screen recording can pick up system sounds that are too loud next to your voice. This tool re-encodes the audio track at the level you choose, from completely silent to three times louder, so you can fix the balance before you share the clip.
Important: only the audio track changes. The picture is copied without re-encoding, so the video quality stays exactly the same and the process is quicker. Boosting a very quiet recording will not fix it perfectly, because noise is amplified along with the voice, but it usually helps enough to make a quiet clip watchable.
