Contact us

The easiest way to reach us is by email:

contact@filewizy.com

We read the messages we receive and reply as soon as we can. Messages in English, Spanish or German are all welcome. FileWizy does not have user accounts, a phone line or a chat service, so email is the single channel for support, feedback and enquiries.

A short, specific subject line helps us sort messages quickly. For example: "Problem: compress video", "Idea: new tool", "Privacy request" or "Business enquiry". If you have several unrelated questions, sending one email for each makes it easier for us to follow up on every one of them.

Before you write: quick things to try

Most problems with browser-based tools have a simple cause. These steps solve a large share of them, and trying them first may save you the wait:

Reporting a problem with a tool

If a tool still does not work as expected, a few details help us find the cause quickly:

A good report reads like this: "Compress video, Chrome 126 on Windows 11, a 480 MB MOV file, quality set to medium. The progress bar stops at 40% and the page shows an error." That is enough for us to try to reproduce it.

Please do not attach personal photos or videos unless we ask you to. A description is usually enough, and if we need a sample file we will say so.

Common questions about how the tools work

Are my files uploaded to your servers?

No. The tools run in your browser, so the files you process stay on your device and we have no copies of them. That is also why there is nothing for us to recover or delete if you ask.

Why is a large video slow or unable to finish?

Because the work is done by your own computer or phone, very large videos need a lot of memory and older devices may struggle. Closing other tabs and trying a shorter clip are the best first steps.

Why do I see ads and a consent banner?

FileWizy is free to use and is supported by advertising. Advertising and analytics cookies are only enabled if you accept them in the consent banner. You can read the details in our privacy policy.

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for, so there is no password to reset or profile to delete.

Suggesting a tool or an improvement

If there is something you wish FileWizy could do, tell us what you are trying to achieve and we will consider it. Suggestions are most useful when they include the starting point and the result you want, for example "I have HEIC photos from my iPhone and need small JPG files for a web form". The type of file, the device you use and why the existing tools do not fit all help us judge what to build next.

Spotted a mistake in a guide?

Our guides aim to be accurate and practical. If you find an error, an outdated step or something that is unclear, send us the address of the page and a sentence about what is wrong. Corrections are welcome and we are glad to improve the text.

Accessibility feedback

If something on the site is hard to use with a keyboard, a screen reader or a small screen, let us know which page and what got in the way. We cannot promise a specific date for a fix, but accessibility reports are useful and we take them into account.

Privacy questions and requests

For questions about how we handle data, or to exercise your rights over any information we hold, write to the same address and mention "privacy" in the subject. You can learn more in our privacy policy. Remember that the files you process in the tools stay on your device, so we have no copies of them.

Business and legal enquiries

For partnerships, advertising or other business matters, use the same email. Company details are in our legal notice.

What we cannot do

To set expectations, there are a few things we are not able to help with. We cannot recover a file you lost, because we never receive it. We cannot edit or repair your files for you, but the tool pages and guides explain how to do it yourself. And we cannot give advice on the contents of your files or on legal matters beyond what our policies say.

Learn more

You may find an answer faster on the tool's own page, which has a short FAQ, or in our guides. To learn more about the project and how it works, see the about page.
