Why burn text into the video instead of using captions?

Captions and subtitle files only show up in players that support them, and social platforms often strip them out entirely. Burning the text directly into the video frame guarantees it shows up exactly the same way everywhere the video is played or reposted.

This is also the simplest way to add a title, a credit, or a short label to a clip without opening a full video editor — pick your text, position and color, and the tool re-encodes the video with it permanently in the picture.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add more than one line of text?
Not yet — this tool adds a single line of text. For a second caption, run the tool again on the result.
Will the text move or animate?
No, the text stays fixed in the position you choose for the whole video.
