How to trim a video by start and end time
Upload a video and a preview appears. Type the start time and, optionally, the end time, either in seconds (for example 90) or as hh:mm:ss (for example 01:30), then download the trimmed clip. If you leave the end empty, the clip runs to the end of the video. The video can be up to about 200 MB.
Trimming is usually very fast because of how the tool cuts. When the cut point falls right on a keyframe, the video is copied without being re-encoded, so the result is nearly instant and keeps the same quality as the original. If the video uses an uncommon format, or the cut cannot be made on a keyframe, the tool may need to re-encode and take a little longer.
A few practical tips. To remove a section from the middle, trim the part you want to keep and, if needed, join the pieces afterwards with the video merger. To share the result, check the file size: if it is still large for WhatsApp or email, shrink it with the video compressor. To turn a short moment into an animation, use the video to GIF converter.
