Why change an audio file's pitch?
Shifting pitch up or down is useful for matching a song to a singer's vocal range, creating a chipmunk or deep-voice effect, or transposing an instrument recording into a different key. This tool changes only the pitch — the duration of the audio stays the same, unlike simply speeding up or slowing down playback.
