How does browser-based voice recording work?
This tool uses your browser's built-in microphone access to record your voice directly, with no software to install and nothing ever uploaded to a server. Once you allow microphone access, click Start, speak, then stop and download the result — the whole recording happens locally on your device.
The result downloads as a WebM audio file, a format supported by all modern browsers and most audio players and editors. If you need it in another format, use the Convert audio format tool on the recording afterward.
