How to record a video with your webcam in the browser
Click Start recording, allow access to your camera and microphone when the browser asks, and record. You see a live preview while you record. Click stop and download your video. There is nothing to install, and the length of the recording is limited only by your device memory.
The result is a WebM video file, a format supported by all modern browsers and by most video players and editors. If you need an MP4, for example for an app or a website that does not accept WebM, run the recording through the video format converter. To cut off the start and end, use the video trimmer.
Common uses: a quick testimonial, a message for a colleague, a video introduction, a lesson, or a short clip for a profile. For a clean result, put the camera at eye level, face a window or a lamp so your face is lit from the front, and test the sound before a long take.
