How to save a still photo from a video
Upload a video, play it with the normal controls, pause on the moment you want and click Capture this frame. You can capture as many frames as you like from the same video, then download them one by one or all together as a .zip file. It works with any common video format.
The captured photos match the resolution of the video itself and are saved as JPG, so a high-resolution video gives you sharp stills and a small one gives smaller pictures. Sometimes the photo you want was never taken and exists only as a moment inside a video: a slide from a recorded presentation, a funny expression, a product shown in a demo, or a frame from a recording. This is the tool for that.
For the sharpest result, pause exactly on the frame instead of capturing during playback, because moving subjects can look blurred in a single frame. Use the player scrubber to get close, then step to the exact moment. If the video is long, cut the part you need first with the video trimmer, which makes it easier to find the right spot. For a short moving clip rather than a still, use the video to GIF converter.
After capturing, you can resize the photos for social networks with the image resizer, shrink them with the image compressor or add your logo with the watermark tool. Everything happens locally in your browser, so the video is never uploaded anywhere.
