How to resize photos to the right social media size

Upload one or several photos, pick a preset and download the result. The presets are Instagram or Facebook post (1:1), Instagram Story, Reel or TikTok (9:16), Instagram portrait (4:5), Facebook or Twitter post (16:9), YouTube thumbnail (16:9) and LinkedIn post (1.91:1). If you need something else, choose Custom size and enter the width and height in pixels. Most image formats work, including iPhone HEIC photos, up to about 50 MB each.

How does it fit your photo to the size? The tool crops the image from the center to match the exact pixel size of the preset, and it never stretches or distorts the picture. That is also why the framing matters: before you resize, think about whether the important part of the photo is near the middle, because the edges are what gets cut when the proportions differ.

Why use exact presets? Each network expects a certain size or ratio for posts, Stories, Reels and thumbnails. If you upload the wrong one, the platform crops or adds bars in ways you cannot control. If the file is still heavy after resizing, reduce it with the image compressor, and if a site does not accept your format, use the image format converter.
