Which video format should you pick?

This converter changes a video from one format to another: MP4, WebM, MOV or AVI. Drop in your video, choose the output format and download the result. It runs in your browser, so your file is never uploaded, and it works with videos up to about 200 MB depending on your device's memory.

MP4 is the most compatible choice and works almost everywhere, from phones and TVs to social media and email. WebM is a free, open format that produces smaller files for the web and is what browser recorders save. MOV is the native format for Apple's own apps and editors. AVI is an older format that some legacy software or devices still expect.

The video is re-encoded at a quality close to the original, so any difference is practically invisible for normal viewing. Remember that changing format does not make a video better: it changes how it is stored and which programs can open it.
