How to compress images without losing visible quality
Modern phone cameras produce photos of several megabytes each, far more than a social post, an email or a web page needs. Compression removes information the eye barely notices, cutting the file size with no visible difference at normal viewing size. Drop in your JPG, PNG or WebP images, pick a target size and download the result. You can add up to 20 images at once and get them back together as a zip.
Instead of a quality number, you choose a target size per image: under 200 KB for thumbnails and speed, under 500 KB as the recommended general-purpose option for web pages and email, or under 1 MB when you want to keep as much detail as possible. The tool adjusts the quality automatically until the result lands close to the size you picked. Files up to about 50 MB each work.
Everything runs in your browser, so your photos are never uploaded to a server. For the best results, compress from the original file, not from a copy that was already shrunk, and judge the result at the size people will actually see.
